A FEW KEY DATES
Between now and Election Day, November 5, 2024, it is important to verify your voter registration status on a regular basis. You may also find information regarding the other key election dates listed below at https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/
OTHER KEY ELECTION DATES:
August 19, 2024 - First Date to request an absentee ballot. You can do this online, by email, by mail, by fax, or in person.

If you or a loved one is in the military overseas, special rules apply and registrars can mail you your ballot for the November 5th election beginning on this date. See https://www.fvap.gov/info/laws/uocava
September 23, 2024 Sample Ballots are available. It’s another good time to verify both your polling location and your voter registration status.
October 7, 2024* - Deadline to register to vote for the November 5th Election
October 15, 2024 Early voting begins
*The deadline to register to vote for the November 5, 2024, election is Monday, October 7, 2024. You may register to vote up to 6 months in advance of your 18th birthday, although you cannot vote until you turn 18. You may register to vote online, by mail or in-person. FIRST TIME VOTERS:
Will You or a Someone You Know Turn 18 on or Before November 5, 2024?
When you are at least 17 1/2 years of age you can register to vote, but you must be at least 18 years of age to vote.
Visit the Georgia Secretary of State’s website, My Voter Page, to REGISTER FOR THE FIRST TIME, and for other important information.

ABSENTEE VOTING:
Are you a college or graduate student or active military duty personnel who lives away from your county of residence and who plans to VOTE BY MAIL? Are you differently abled or a senior who plans to vote by mail?
