My mother, Mrs. Vera Johnson was the mother of (7) children. I am her oldest. She worked as a nursing assistant at the Medical Center in Columbus,Ga. She was known as the”Lil lady that brought the babies.”She worked in the newborn nursery and assisted on the post delivery floor caring for the mothers who had just given birth. She loved her work!! I worked along with her the first year of my nursing career.
She was an excellent wife mother, health care worker, cook homemaker, and Christian.
The eve of each of our birthdays, she would tell us the story of our birth, and the events leading to the actual delivery. It made each of us feel “so special” and it was “a joy”each time we heard it.
She lived with my husband and I the last (9) years of her life.
She went to eternity, peacefully, at my home ,on April 09, 2001. She was 86 years old.
I miss her each day and I love her always.🙏🏽✝️❤️
Thank you LORD for my mother.
