The Reverend Elijah A. Hunt is a dedicated servant of God with a multifaceted background in both criminal justice and theology. Born in Detroit, Michigan, to Pastor Rodger and Zelda Hunt, he was instilled with strong values of service and community engagement from an early age.
Reverend Hunt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Bethune-Cookman University, where he honed his understanding of justice systems and their impact on society. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Candler School of Theology, where he deepened his spiritual insights and commitment to serving others.
In May 2023, Reverend Hunt was licensed to preach this gospel by Reverend Dr. Damon P. Williams at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, and on July 23rd of 2024, he was ordained, marking a significant milestone in his journey of faith and service. This moment affirmed his calling to bridge the realms of justice and spirituality, striving to bring compassion and understanding to both.
The Reverend Elijah A. Hunt currently serves as the Community Coordinator for the Gwinnett Judicial Circuit within the Georgia Department of Community Supervisions Division of Reentry. In this role, Reverend Hunt works to support the successful reintegration of individuals back into society, emphasizing the importance of community support, resources, and rehabilitation for those involved in the criminal justice system.
With a passion for social justice and a heart for the community, Reverend Elijah Hunt seeks to make a positive impact through his ministry. Whether advocating for the marginalized, guiding individuals through difficult times, or inspiring others through the preached Word, Reverend Hunt is committed to fostering positive change and building a more just and compassionate society.
