Trinity Table, Angel Tree, Toys or Tots, Thanksgiving Baskets of Love
(Adopt-a-Family will not be held this year.)
TRINITY TABLE | Sunday, Dec. 14, 11am-2pm
Description: Ben Hill UMC rotates with other United Methodist Churches in the North Georgia Conference to volunteer every Sunday of the year to provide meals to homeless men and women. Trinity Table provides food for the hungry in a hospitable setting that affirms the dignity and worth of those in need. Trinity Table is a Sunday Soup Kitchen that has been serving the hungry of Atlanta since 1982.
What do we do? We provide homeless men and women with hot and grab and go meals, prayer and other resources and supports that are available such as bibles, hygiene kits, gloves, hats, scarves, shoes, clothing and blankets.
What are the Dates for this Event:
Meal Preparation: Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10am-1pm at BHUMC, Fellowship Hall
Meal Serving: Sunday, Dec. 14, from 11am-2pm at Trinity UMC, Downtown - 265 Washington Street Atlanta, GA 30303
How can you help?
- We need volunteers to prepare the grab and go bags on Saturday
- We need volunteers to serve on that Sunday
- We need donations of socks, gloves, hats and shoes. For women we need new bras, panties and sanitary pads. (All sizes)
Deadline to drop off donations is Wed., Dec. 10 via the Food Bank Drive Thru, 10:30am to 12pm.

Dec. 14: Our Angel Tree families have been invited to worship with us on Dec. 14, and will pick up their gifts
after service at a reception held in the Fellowship Hall. Please join us to greet and welcome them!

What do we do? Starting in 2024, Ben Hill UMC became a distribution site for the Southwest Atlanta Area. We have partnered with the United Way to get referrals for families to come to Ben Hill.
The referred families are able to select two gifts of their choice, per child (ages 11 and UNDER) per household. The families are also provided with gift wrapping paper and bags so that they can wrap the gifts they selected for their children.

THANKSGIVING BASKETS OF LOVE | Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, 9am-1pm
Thank you to everyone who helped make the Thanksgiving Baskets of Love event a success!
The Food Bank, Outreach Ministry, and Ben Hill United Methodist Men are joining forces to distribute Thanksgiving Baskets of Love to our community on Saturday, Nov. 15! We need donations of the food items below, to be dropped off at the Food Bank Drive-Thru, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 10:30am-12:30pm.
Rice, Corn, Carnation Can Milk, Cranberry Sauce, Jiffy, Stuffing, Cake Mix and Icing
