stephen ministry 2024-01

404-344-0618 Extension 1111

If you are having a hard time feeling merry due to grief, illness, job loss, caregiving or other life crisis, you are not alone.  If sadness is overshadowing your joy, a Stephen Minister might be able to help.  A Stephen Minister is a lay person trained to provide one-on-one confidential Christian care using tools like active listening, encouragement, scripture, and prayer to help you move forward in Christ. A Stephen Minister is not a counselor or therapist, but a fellow Christian willing to walk with you during a difficult time.

On Sunday, Dec. 21, the Ben Hill Stephen Ministry offered everyone a small blue gift bag, intended to provide encouragement and reminders of Christ's love for us in good times and bad.  The bag contains an inspirational booklet, a paper heart containing wildflower seed that you may plant in the Spring, and a Stephen Ministry brochure. If this is a season of joy for you, please give the bag to a friend, relative or neighbor who might benefit from it.

If you or someone you know might need a Stephen Minister, please reach out today by contacting Rev. Rates or by leaving a confidential message for a Stephen Leader at 404-344-0618 Extension 1111.

Please know that we care and are praying for you.
